If you found this page from an entry in your server log, you are in the right place. Here is who we are, why we fetched your page and how you can stop it.

Why we fetch your page

In aller Regel, weil the operator of this website commissioned us. OUHUD checks on behalf of companies whether their own pages are reachable for search engines and AI answer engines. For that we fetch what is public anyway.

Before a website is checked, the client must prove ownership — via a DNS record, a meta tag or a file on the server. Without that proof no fetch starts here.

How we behave

  • We respect your robots.txt. Also a block that is added after the assignment.
  • We observe your crawl delay. If a Crawl-delay, warten wir entsprechend.
  • We come rarely. One pass per assignment, not continuous operation.
  • We only read public pages. No forms, no sign-in, no areas behind a login.

This is how you block us

One line in your robots.txt is enough. It takes effect from the next fetch:

User-agent: OuhudBot
Disallow: /

We re-check this on every run. If you believe we did not honour it, write to us — with the timestamp from your log. For us that is a bug, not a trifle.

What we store

Address, title, headings, description, word count and technical characteristics of the fetched pages — what is needed for the assessment. The data belongs to the client and is not passed on, not sold and not used to train AI models.
